Weddings & Events!

I consult with every bride and listen to their unique wedding floral vision. Once I have the specific wedding concept in mind, I make recommendations while using inspiration ideas to create arrangements with care and joy.
This approach ensures that the final delivery and installation achieves the utmost in floral design.

One bride sent me a thank-you text during her reception. Recently, a bride and groom sent me a thank-you text the morning after the wedding!

In late Summer, I received a thank-you postcard from a newlywed couple's honeymoon! I have been blessed by some wonderful couples, and all the prayer that goes into the floral designs really makes all the difference.

Visionary Events...

A still life portrait concept.

Perhaps your vision involves floral artwork beyond a standard centerpiece design. I discern a select group of 1 to 3 events per year with a budget of $3,000+.

These clients are highly discerning, and they wish to achieve a specific vision of detail, elegance, and art. If inserting a lily bud for each napkin ring is the level of detail you want, please contact me directly by phone 571-327-1855 or email fairfaxflowers @ gmail.com

Large Budgets: Let's Discuss Your Floral Vision

Many of my bridal clients have budgets of $800-$1800. These clients are looking to maximize the quality and quantity of flowers for the budget and the vision they have for their wedding. Since I have such a great relationship with my wholesaler, the price is right, and you're aware of that price up front. I also consult with potential clients on what strategies work to keep the final costs reasonable.

Tight Budget?

Tell me your budget!
So often, brides or their families are ashamed of the budget - no worries here!
I pull together low-budget wedding floral visions for approximately 10 weddings each year.

Orchid & Calla Wedding!

I JUST completed a wedding with orchids and large white callas. Comparisons were in the multiple thousands. Although I only design for 8 to 10 high-end floral concepts each year, my clients are absolutely impressed by the amount of flowers and the superb quality. The bride's large orchid cascade bouquet is displayed here to the left.

I am a home-based floral designer trained in European hand-tied bouquets by the Middle Atlantic Florist Association, trained in flower treatment and high-end wedding designs by world-renowned California-based Dutch Florist, René van Rems. "Fashion Forward Weddings: Bouquets, Tablescapes, and Beyond" was his seminar that I attended. I also have studied with author and award winning florist Michael Gaffney. Whatever your vision, I'm ready to "wow" the competitors' best quotes.

A Bridal Photo Shoot for Charity

The following photos are from a Holiday Inn, Arlington Wedding Expo in Fall 2014.
One bouquet was used to highlight a pair of Oscar de la Renta shoes.

Below photo is from a professional bridal photo shoot for a bridal nonprofit. I arranged the bouquets as a volunteer.

The leaves in a star shape complement the star-shaped tattoo on the bride's left shoulder.

Wedding Expo Fashion Show

As a volunteer, I arranged four bouquets for brides, which were featured in a 2012 bridal expo. Themes for each bouquet were Autumn, Black-and-White Wedding, Blue, and Spring.

I led a workshop teaching brides to arrange "3 Seasonal Bouquets for $30" with the goal of empowering brides to find local flowers, purchase seasonal bouquets, and to gain confidence by arranging the bouquets for their bridesmaids. Three brides from the audience were able to participate. Attendees loved the workshop, and many felt empowered and confident enough to make the bridesmaid bouquets themselves.

If you want me to create your bouquet and teach your bridesmaids to DIY their bouquets at the same time, check out my DIY on-site workshops! I bring all the supplies and tools to you. We work out who will prep the flowers, and in 90 minutes or less, your bridesmaids will have a wonderful experience and share many laughs while creating their beautiful bouquets with my guidance.

This bridal bouquet was created at a DIY workshop held at The Avery, a Georgetown luxury boutique guesthouse. The bride and bridesmaids ordered some appetizers and champagne as I instructed them in bridesmaid bouquet designs while creating the Bride's bouquet. The atmosphere was exquisite, the experience of the workshop was delightful for all involved, and with smiles and laughter, we completed the bridal bouquet and 11 bridesmaid bouquets in under 90 minutes.

Contact me to conduct a workshop at a professional or lifestyle event. Please email me to discuss your budget and the number of attendees who would be participating as well as the type of arrangement you'd like. Examples of workshops include "Wedding Centerpieces," "Guys DIY Prom Date's Corsage," "DIY Prom Date Boutonnieres," "Wedding Boutonnieres and Corsages." The best part about corsages and bouquets is that they can be made a week or two in advance, using my corsage storing tips, stored in tupperware, and kept in your refrigerator at home, all without wilting before the wedding day.
